Upstate NY bus service?

check www.greyhound.com for route info, schedules and fares to and from. i believe the highway designation is state route#3, that runs ne. from watertown ny. through old forge, cranberry lake, saranac lake , lake placid ne. through the adirondakmountains to meet up at the ne corner of n.y across the st lawrence river from canada...." give the greyhound ticket agent in watertown, new york a call for information, he should have the routes, schedules and pricing information you need. i used to live in watertown and took that bus years ago beyond lake placid". good luck at this late date. i think there may be one run a day available to use, so call early in morning. check yellowpages.com for phone number.. be sure to check with locals on exactly where the bus stop is so you don't miss it. you're really out in the boondocks up there, weather up there is very changeable and its difficult to find lodging at the last minute. i hope you don;t have to make a sign of your destination and wait for someone to give you a lift. good luck to you if you do. really!!! the only car rental outlets i would use are in syracuse, albany, or plattsburgh.i hope your not a location agent working for the upcoming "guns in the adirondacks movie !saranac lake and cranberry lake were old mobsters hideouts and booze running routes in prohibition days.
