Can I block myself from being traced?

The guy didn't really trace him he just noted his IP address down, It is impossible for an individual to trace the exact location or name of a person with an IP address unless the person has committed something criminal. If your not doing anything illegal then there is no way any forum can get your address or name. If you wish to protect yourself further you could use proxy servers to browse there are many of them around.
