Why won't my dad let me take a train to visit a relative I'm 22 for God's sake?

I am going to visit my sister in a few weeks and she lives upstate would rather me to take the train than driving an 1 or 2 hours to come get me like she usually does when I visit her 2 or 3 times a year. I said I have no problem with that since that would be much easier for her. So we told our dad about the plans he told me that I'm not taking a train up there and me and my sister tried to convince him but we can't. My sister told him she can tell me how to take a train there but he said no. I know my dad is just looking out for me and just concern about my safety but I think I'll be fine.
