What type of guitar should I get?

So I am getting a new guitar... I want to get another electric guitar but Im not sure what brand and model. I already have a fender highway one strat. Im wondering if its worth it to get another strat, but different type? i want it to be a bit of a different sound but im not sure. please help. i like john mayer and eric clapton, and would also like to play a bit of everything! thanks for any help!
