How far will Gael Monfils (rank 75th) go after beaten third rank Andy Rod in tennis?

I think Gael Monfils is a great young player and he can definitely get into the top ten at some point. Maybe he can even win a grand slam someday. But we also have to remember that he beat Rod on clay and Rod is just not very good on clay. It is much like Pete Sampras who was awesome on every other surface but he could not get it done on clay. So we have to see what Monfils does against some of the big name clay court players to truly see how far he can go.
